Schools & Young People
Get InvolvedAre you a student, teacher or educator interested in connecting with the Traverse and our work?
Here are some ways that you can get involved:
- Come and see a show. Find out what’s on.
- Interested in finding out what goes on behind the scenes? Contact us.
The Traverse Theatre presents its own productions and welcomes visiting companies year round, giving you an excellent opportunity to see leading theatre companies work and learn more about the processes behind getting brand new work from page to stage.
In addition, our flagship education project, Class Act, has been turning secondary school pupils across Edinburgh into playwrights since 1991.
We are also thrilled to have taken Class Act both nationally - to Ayrshire, Aberdeenshire, Dumfries & Galloway, the Highlands, Mull - and internationally - with young people from Ukraine, Finland, India and Russia - opening the eyes and minds of even more young people to playwriting and creating theatre, as well as promoting cultural collaboration and advocating for access to the arts for all.
