Sales & Welcome Team Assistant (temporary)
JobsThe Traverse Theatre is looking for proactive positive-thinkers to join our Sales and Welcome Team from 21 July 2025 - 24 August 2025 to assist in the provision of ticketing, audience development initiatives and merchandise sales during the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe period.
Typical duties include:
- Processing face-to-face, telephone and internet reservations, donations and sales of tickets and merchandise.
- Operating computerised Box Office system, ensuring data input accuracy
- First point of contact for general enquiries, visitors and deliveries
- Providing excellent customer service to all customers including internal departments and visiting companies
- Daily cashing-up and reporting procedures
Our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong customer service skills. A computer literate problem-solver with cash handling skills, you will also be able to work on your own initiative and prioritise effectively. Experience of working with a ticketing system would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a temporary position from 21 July – 24 August 2025. There are no guaranteed hours, however we expect to be able to offer 30-35 hours per week from 28 July 2025. Hours will include evenings and weekends.
