About

“Claire does more than simply sing a song, she takes you to the story and sits you comfortably right beside the singer” – Folk Radio UK

In a new departure for ETF25 we present a very special one hour gig designed to appeal to all ages, from new babies upwards.

Award-winning Scottish folk singer Claire Hastings presents a varied repertoire of traditional, contemporary and original songs including a fair smattering of tracks from her recent Scottish Lullabies album.

We think your little ones will enjoy this early exposure to some of Scotland’s most beautiful melodies, and perhaps join in with some of the interactive aspects of the concert. There will be lots of opportunities to sing, dance and clap along.

Claire has a strong ability to portray a story through song. In addition to her regular performances she has developed some interactive music sessions for young children inspired by having two pre-schoolers of her own. You could say that she has developed a strong sense of what the under 5s want from a gig!

Claire will be accompanied by Adam Sutherland (fiddle) and Ali Hutton (guitar).

All are welcome!
