Choose dates & BookAbout
Beautiful songs and evocative music, spoken word and arresting visuals, love loss data is presented by Lacunas Music Society.
Actress Blythe Duff - best known for her role as Jackie Reid in the crime show Taggart – has joined with acclaimed singer-songwriter Yvonne Lyon – renowned for her musicianship – and award-winning film and TV composer, Malcolm Lindsay to form Lacunas Music Society, which also includes Jon Hargreaves, composer, conductor, and keyboard player extraordinaire, and Cameron Maxwell, leading bass player and master of the low frequencies.
The need to record and remember are essential to being human, but love and loss are not resolved by data points and algorithms. How to honour love, consider loss, and find ways to archive ourselves other than in ones and zeros? Love loss data reflects on life’s hopes and dreams balanced against an insistently data-driven world.
