Playwrights' Studio, Scotland & Scottish Society of Playwrights - Anniversary Event

A special celebration of all things playwriting in Scotland, jointly hosted by Playwrights’ Studio, Scotland and the Scottish Society of Playwrights at the Traverse.

This year, the Studio reaches its 20th year of support and advocacy for Scotland’s playwrights, SSP commemorates its 50th anniversary with a year of SSP@50 Fellowships and events, and the Traverse itself is 60!

To mark these milestones, this one-off event will include readings of two iconic plays from SSP’s and Playwrights’ Studio’s founding years. There will also be a lively panel discussion on playwriting then, now and into the future, followed by a reception, sponsored by Nick Hern Books, the UK’s leading specialist publisher of plays and theatre books, to meet with friends and colleagues, talk, argue and put Scottish theatre to rights.
