Formed in Japan in 1999 KAZUTOKI UMEZU "KIKI BAND" has always been a difficult group to categorise . It may be the newest type of Jazz-Rock. Its sound may be like progressive rock. The band like unusual beats, so basically it must be jazz. However, if you listen the rhythm, you'll feel rock music, and if you follow the melody you feel like you are listening to roots music.
KIKI BAND is composed of a powerful 4 members . Kazutoki Umezu (saxophones & clarinets), Natsuki Kido (guitar) Takeharu Hayakawa (bass) Joe Trump (drums)
They have travelled the world causing surprise and delight wherever they play. Everybody who has heard "KIKI"BAND, think they're sensational. So much so that our friend and regular gig goer Ran Levi, who saw them in Japan, has helped them come to Scotland for this very special show. This will be a night to remember for sure!
