What can puppetry reveal about music?

In a new collaboration between Scottish Ensemble and multi-award-winning puppetry company Blind Summit, puppeteers and musicians play together to discover the ways puppetry and music lead each other in a fragile dance.

Experimenting with form through visuals and sound, the puppets will respond through musical moments – from the romance of Arnold Schoenberg to the mesmerising modern world of Philip Glass.

Following their successful partnership with the LA Philharmonic Orchestra where they brought the folk tale of Peter and the Wolf to life at the Hollywood Bowl, Blind Summit and Scottish Ensemble pair up to explore the boundaries of their mediums.

The performance will include:

• Arnold Schoenberg Verklärte Nacht (Transfigured Night)
• Philip Glass Symphony No.3

A 30-minute Q&A will follow the performance.
