About

Inspired song selection and thoughtful arrangements reveal the strong chemistry these top musicians share” – Irish Echo

Long time friends and musical collaborators, Co. Louth traditional musician Nuala Kennedy (flute and songs) and Dubliner/New Yorker Eamon O' Leary (guitar and songs) have toured globally together performing everywhere from a native village in the Yukon Arctic Circle to the main stage of festivals in the USA and Australia.

Internationally respected members of the traditional music community, they are noted for their instrumental skills as well as a diverse repertoire of traditional song: sit back and relax as their engaging stage presence and understated virtuosity provide the perfect foil for a timeless selection of stories of the sea, of love and courtship, of work and ritual, of emigration, of war, and the many other subjects these songs describe.

This gig is part of Edinburgh Tradfest 2022.

The Traverse Theatre is funded by Creative Scotland and The City of Edinburgh Council, with additional support from The Scottish Government Performing Arts Venues Relief Fund.
